The first underground tomb from the early Hellenistic period was found in Evros by accident. It is classified as a family tomb and it is equivalent to the Macedonian architectural style.

It is build with chiseled cornerstones brought by the limestone quarry in Metaxades. The hallway is 2,70 m long and 1,24 m wide, the foyer 1,20x 1,01,o2m. The chamber is covered with a saddled roof 2, 55x2 40 m with the semi-circled arch. The entrances are monolithic and further in there is a bunk bed and a bunk grave on the floor.
